This week I am killing two bird's with one stone, as the say. I have made my Valentine Day's card for my husband Graham and my third project with this month's stamps from Creative Expressions. Now this is unheard of. Normally I am trying to throw something together the night before when I find that he has bought me one (usually hidden in his sock drawer !!) Whoops, hope he doesn't read this..!!
I have used the fabric texture background stamp from the Studio 490 Sentimental Art set with Worn Lipstick, Fired Brick and Festive Berries Distress ink.
I have kept this card very simple. I have used the sentiment from the same stamp set and cut out the layers with Spellbinders Labels 5. .
I found the metal charm with "always" in my box and as it was silver I embossed it with gold powder.
I then finished off one of my favourite flower techniques. I used text paper and coloured the flowers with Worn Lipstick Distress before assembly. Then I sprayed with a red Cosmic Shimmer mist once the flower was finished. It gives a gorgeous shimmer which you can't see very well in the photo.
I also edged the whole panel with gold embossing to bring it all together.
